Carl (born in 2002) is a son of Champion Elvenhome Cara (born in 1992).
Cara became a full inter-breed Champion as a first kidder and gave 2181 Kg of milk at 4.40% BF and 2.83% PR in the first 365 days. Cara's full sister, Tinuviel, was also a first rate milker producing 2464 Kg at 4.66% BF and 2.79% PR. Both goats were "family bred" from high milking lines, with emphasis on quality as well as quantity.

Carl's sire, Timyon Elcid is from a Dutch White dam Timyon Elle (Registered by order of the BGS Committee as Saanen), who proved herself in the UK in both show ring and milk recording. Elle gave 2035 Kg of milk in 361 days as a fourth kidder at 3.62% BF and 3.37% PR (highest recorded Saanen yield in BGS Herd Book 124). Her duaghter, RM293 Timyon Eleni *1BrCh gave 2930 Kg as a first kidder in 365 days at 3.35% BF and 2.68% PR. Not only the highest recorded Saanen, but the highest recorded goat of all breeds in BGS Herd Book 126.
Elcid's sire, Pamart Merryking was used as an AI donor on Elle.
Merryking, born in 1981, came directly from a classic pure Sannen blood line - the Mostyn "Merry" family (his dam was R33 Mostyn Merrymiss).

Carl's first daughters will be born in May/June 2004 to dams by Hayley Anthony. Carl is now working with a group of our best milkers.
